Its been a while
I haven’t posted anything since 2019 when I went off around Northern Europe for a few moths, that’s partly because I haven’t had much to post but also because I lacked some energy for it.
I cycled round Scotland in 2022 for a few months from Sheffield but other than that I’ve been working.
so this is the start of a new planning phase to do something! Not sure at all what it will be yet as I have a neice and nephew and stuff going on which makes it hard to disappear for too long.
I have a grand plan of getting a Go-Pro, an Ipad mini so I don’t have to write all my blog posts on a little phone screen, and pissing off for a year or more. I don’t know that it will actually happen but I can plan!
New Zealand
Australia
Japan??
Canada
Iceland
Nordic area
originally there was a lot of America planned but obviously that’s a bit harder at the moment, I still plan to do it at some point in the future as I’d love to do the GDMBR and a few other routes. For now I’ll leave it a few years.

I have a few different handlebar bags but haven’t found my perfect fit yet
Also looking at getting some fork packs so I can get some better weight distribution and hopefully not bald quite as many tires
Tent and sleeping stuff
my tent is an MSR Hubba NX, but its a bit old and fairly small for long term trips (although I have done to months in Scotland in a RAB Ridge Raider Bivy)
I’m debating getting a new tent but struggling to find one that’s big and tall enough whilst being light weight, durable, and storm proof with a big vestibule. I know its a big ask!
Sea to summit Spark SPIII
Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Topo Luxe (will be replacing this as its not quite right for me, a bit narrow and not great for side sleeping)
Sea to Summit Aeros Premium Pillow (what can I say? I like my sleep)

Garmin Rally XC200 pedals
